Guest DUBSTEP Posted August 18, 2014 Share Posted August 18, 2014 hehe, I recently joined a church(October) 2013 but I am actually still atheist, I just like some of the things they say during service plus theres a healthy share of gay men that go to the church and theres two gigantic aids ribbons on the outside of the church, some sermons are about how society and the church as a whole should be more accepting of gay people, i.e. the recent court decisions against the gay marriage bans, they also go on to say that people are going to start leaving intolerant churches because society is changing, but I don't just go there to hear things like that its just because I think if I had more faith in myself I could do a lot better in life but I still am a atheist and I go to that church, I really like it though :^) from going there I have become a more accepting person. That is due to some requirements by the companies that own the servers, whether it be hosted for the site, or owned by the site. They are trying to prevent legal action from being taken. That's pretty much what they're looking at. Of course there are those who are Christian who do not believe that sex has to be between one man and one woman....nor one person and one person. There are those who believe that as long as you are not doing anything to "disrespect" the other, that we should be able to enjoy the flesh. Those believe that the only sin is when you do something disrespectful, or harmful like having sex with some one who's married, with out the other party knowing. Yet, if both parties in the marriage are aware that the other is playing, and accept that, then it's OK. And that is just one belief/doctrine....there are many others that people hold, right up to the one of sex being between one man and one woman. I believe that that issue should be between the person and their god. We should never impose our opinion of religion on others. If God judges, that's God's choice. If We Judge, then we shall be judged by the measure we judge others....Judge by the law, you must LIVE by the law. Judge with Grace, and you can live with Grace.
