I hadn't heard that.  Some things, especially regarding sex, are often myths that get passed along.  I wouldn't be surprised, though, if there is some truth to this:  Pineapples are high in water content, fructose (fruit sugar), and Vitamin C, and are otherwise good for you.  Years ago, a family brought back a fresh pineapple from Hawaii and gave my grandmother some of it; and, she said it was so much better than the early-harvested ones in grocery stores.  Too much, though, can make your system a bit too acidic.  On the whole, eating healthy--including fruits & vegetables--can only help.
